Ubuntu Justice and African Truth and Reconciliation Commission

This article examines some of the missiological problems South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), taking into consideration theological concepts forgiveness, reconciliation, justice. The proposes Ubuntu Justice concept’s viability as a framework with which to respond activities TRC. further explores methodology goal public hearings uses “Gugulethu Seven” “PEBCO Three” cases highlight sacrosanctity truth, remorse, forgiveness in process reconciliation. inquiry considers that an understanding strategy upholding justice maintaining peaceful relations, recognises importance rehabilitating both victim perpetrator. For reconciliation be genuine, perpetrator must genuinely commit treating equal, affirming humanity dignity victim.
